If not, just hook up your controller to the PC, install the appropriate software to run it and off you go.
Nope, the aim assist is totally identical (PC version) with M/K or controller. I play using steam controller and i see totally no difference from when i use the 100% controller layout (with on screen xbox prompts) or i use the K/M wasd+mouse configuration (with onscreen keyboards prompts). Of the 2, i get more easy headshot with the k/M emulation because of the superior aim smoothness the mouse gyroscope has. For what i know, the aim assist is dependant on the weapon (DIM will show you this hidden stat) but, since the weapons behave differently on PC than on console (recoil is much more important on console than pc), this "aim assist" can also be not really relevant on PC. This would also explain why i dont really see any difference using AIM mods on my helm or not...
Please, feel free to add or change to what i said, those are just my opinions =)
U R right. I've played this game on X-Box One, & PC. It's a noticeable difference.
Also mods like counter balance are pointless to use if your using m+k. Because the weapon control is your mouse handling skills.
You mean the aim reticle going slower when you are near enemies? never noticed that but normally i play with k/m WASD setup on the controller. Will do more tests just to be sure =)
But they also are not really useful using a controller on PC, the weapon control is different from the Console version. On pc you can have more trouble controlling recoil with controller but not because the game gets different or activate hidden options depending on what you use. Bungie changed some thing between Console and PC versions.
By the way, i will not ever be able to play this kind of games using a classic controller. The only controller i can really use with some success on pc games FPS is the steam controller since was made to be a "bridge" between dual sticks and K/M
M+K is SO much fun! i just need to get used to it lol
That's for sure, i will never be able to play an FPS using a dualstick, i just like for now to play on my big 50" TV and since i got used to it, landing headshots and keeping weapons under control using the steam controller gyroscope is very funny and satisfactory =)
