They should give it another reason to be used. I mean why even use it when there is Izanagi? Yes it can pack a punch with the ionic buff and can break shields because it's energy, but the switch between damage types in nightfalls feels sluggish.

My suggestion is instant switch. You hold R and it's instant. Or maybe same amount of time to switch Cerberus's fire mode. That makes it a lot better.

I'll always have a soft spot for it.
I found that the way it would default back to Void in some cases (death, definitely, did it default back when switching weapons too?) was what stopped me using it that much. If only for the duration of an activity, if it could remember which mode it was in, that would be good.

It's pretty good in Gambit against envoys but i agree it needs a better way to change elements

Imo they should buff it's damage a bit in PvE.

this sniper is perfect to grind pve exotic quest like worldline zero nodes, but yeah i agreed on the rest

Yes it will switch to void if you die, switch weapon, or leave a mission/planet. But for me it's just sad. I want to see it get used more. But as i said if it could switch damage type instantly that would be huge. (I know the catalyst increase reload speed, but it doesn't seem like much.)

It does a bit lower damage than the other 72 RPM snipers. But it gets a substantial buff if you trigger the ionic return. But i don't know. It's just not enough. It's hard to use. People prefer the most simple and effective thing. And it's none of them.

That's only with the buff, it stil does less damage than whisper or izanagi, in terms of base damage and the boost from it's perks. Heck i'd rather take revoker over borealis when not using izanagi or whisper. The only bright side is that it's stable/doesn't flinch that much when scoped in.

Borealis is really a PvE gun, for when you need to hit things or enemies with different elemental shots. Very special purpose, or to use as a generic PvE sniper.

At this point, i'd say that i even take arbalest over borealis.
