How Do You Play Warlock?
Hi everyone, I've been playing only Titan since early October, but since the season is almost over and I won't be able to get the cool Iron Banner armor soon I decided to make a warlock in hopes of getting it

I plan to play Iron banner the most right now due to the armor so what would be good mods and items to equip? I currently have 961 power

Thank you have a great day

Edit: Now just asking for advice on PVE stats, mods, class/subclass trees, and weapons that synergize with warlock's powers

I only have IB armor, verity's brow (exotic), Tranverise steps (exotic)

The scour the rust quest gives iron banner armor. Just use a weapon you think you can kill well with.

Nezarec and recluse, bottom void for PVE and middle branch for PVP

Just get some good weapons, I got the rewards from Shadowkeep story, the auto rifle, sniper rifle is nice.
I have green ammo sniper rifle first weapon, my auto rifle second and a big sniper rifle purple ammo gun in last.
Armour is just whatever i find.
Im at 906 LL currently with just random looted stuff. Been playing only a week or so.

I just have the grenade, and the area heal.
Just range everything, use big sniper to face smash on Boss at range.
Games so easy you don't even need arc skills but I am only playing PvE content.

If you get in a tight situation just use the melee " C " and then " G " when they get low health if you are on PC.

You simply delete your warlock and make another titan.

PVP I like middle tree arc warlock, with pulse grenades. That melee blast is good for lowering shields or finishing people off if you're on the reload. You can cancel your ultimate early to save energy after you've had a kill.
PVE Arc is good, and the melee is excellent for lowering shields on elites, but I like using top tree void, because the ultimate combos with skull of dire ahamkara well, and I enjoy nuking anything that gets in the way.
Solar warlock is also viable. Honestly it's not that hard a class to play. Just blast everything, and try to plant your rift thingy in helpful places.
There's lots of good warlock exotics.
For weapons, run the same stuff you did on your Titan.

Learn to nuke with it - nerf the map.
Warlocks are awesome at crowd control - learn by watching others.

Played with quite a few Warlock character players (most likely their main) and they're nice to have around. I Main a Titan and alt a Hunter and know little of the Warlock class, but appreciate even the most trivial Warlock player - disregard any salt and get comfortable with the class.

Warlock is objectively the worst class for PvP, you have a total of zero decent exotics, you have complete inability to have wallhacks like the other 2 classes do, you have the second least useful jump, the slowest melee, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ class ability (for PvP), in addition to all that the 2 specs that were decent at one point got immediately nerfed into the ground while Titan even post-nerf continues to run rampant.

The best tip I have for you as a Warlock is to expect to try twice as hard as everyone else and see half the results.

Best spec is middle tree void, it will be your only way to get a free kill; we don't have 1-shot melees.

Astrocyte verse? Transversive steps? Nezarecs? And where warlock lacks in PvP, it gives back in PvE where it is the best class. If you want to play warlock pro style, you should equip Worldline Zero, the warming exotic sword which is quite fast to get. It's fantastic in PvE and you can become a damn racecar anywhere.

Transversive Steps or OEM...hmm? Every other exotic is either extremely niche or Ophidian Aspects.

i run bottom tree arc with my warlock (i'd run it with crown of tempests if it ever drops - been looking for it since d2 released) normally with smg and either scout or shotty depending on the map and can block out a path easily enough - well, tbf, anyone could if you know how a class works.

i wouldn't quite say it's bad for pvp and wallhacks really means nothing in this game unless you struggle to play without one and need one to use as a crutch lol. there's a lot of good warlock pvp combos out there but it honestly depends on your own playstyle mixing with the class' playstyle. I can't really give a proper input on what's good with warlocks because i main hunter, but i can easily say that i can lockdown a flag much easier with me warlock than my hunter though, again, that comes down to playstyle.

I bloody love my top-tree voidwalker with contraverse holds. Charged vortex grenades are extremely deadly, in PvE and PvP, where I sometimes see people just try to run through them only to die horribly.
Silly sods always underestimate the puny area-denial grenade.
Tag enough enemies with a charged (while using contraverse holds) grenade and you get it back instantly, and if not you can just use your melee to get half a charge for more grenade fun.

I finished Iron Banner and got the armor so now I only need advice for PVE thank you to everyone for the advice given I used quite a bit in Iron Banner

If you play PvE as warlock use the Worldline zero
