Buying season pass late

Guys, if my friend buy shadowkeep (the 1 season only pack, not deluxe) which includes season of undying AFTER the season ends ....

Will he get Season of Dawn instead ? Or its a bust ?

Genuinely can't answer that question but IDEALLY that seems like it should be how it works, but if I personally had to guess i'd guess that season of undying coming with shadowkeep was just incentive to buy shadowkeep. My guess is you'd need to buy shadowkeep and season of dawn separate but thats my guess

Yes, he will! I bought undying first and then shadowkeep, and now it shows I own the next season too :D

Actually it does specify which season you get. Now the question is IF bungie updates that listing cause you need to remember, season pass content isn't just the 100 lvl thing. Its access to leviathan breath and xenophage so technically speaking if the listing doesn't get updated, your paying to get those 2 exotics only

If you do NOT own the current season then do not buy Shadowkeep as it will unlock the current season only, if you DO own the current season then it will unlock the next season for you once it is available.

I have a feeling that Shadowkeep won't come with Season of the Undying once it ends...

TBH I don't see the value of the season pass, and to me it even feels like cheating / pay2win, so I can't justify buying it.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that a season pass buys you:

- A couple of activities that have ridiculous drop volume, so that you end up spending too much time scrapping trash out of your vault.
- A couple of OP'd weapons that get nerfed at the following season when they become available to the rest of the population. In the meantime you get to feel hurr-durr powerful as you can outdo other people, and have an incentive to buy the next season pass.
- A bunch of freebie resources in the Season tab.
- A bunch of cosmetics.

Is that it?
- If yes, I totally do not see the value for the money.
- If no, please, correct me as I might be missing out on something next season since I do not currently plan to buy another season pass.

The weapons are not op, actually the other way around, they were pretty ♥♥♥♥. And they don't have a really ridiculous drop volume compared to other activities. Also, you forgot upgrade materials and faster leveling on the pass itself, as well as better droprates of certain things in activities, but that's about it

So totally off topic but what happens if I already pass lvl 1 on the season pass as ftp but then buy the pass would I get the rewards from my past lvls
