What exactly will reset on season end?

Do i lose quest progress?
Do i lose gear?
Will my crucible, strike and gambit points reset?
Anything else?

You'll lose the ability to get the seasonal gear.
Any rewards unclaimed from the seasonal rank will be put into bright engrams for the future.
I'm positive that all seasonal ranks reset.
All triumphs for the season will be unobtainable.
Seasonal activities will be replaced by new season activities.

Adding to this, Infamy, Valor and Glory will be reset back to zero. And the Artifact will be replaced with a new one you will have to level up.

In addition,
You lose the 3 Season 8 vanguard, crucible and gambit quests that award 2 shaders and 1 emblem each.
You lose any drop chance boosters you got from the season pass, including the one for speeding up progress on the Eriana's Vow catalyst.
You lose any mods from the Gate Lord's eye.

The three 'Season 8:' quests for Vanguard, Gambit and Crucible shaders and emblems, will go away.
All ranks reset, yes. The only quest progress you will lose are those that say "Earn Glory rank Fabled" for example, things like that will reset. But quests that say "Earn 3,500 Glory" like Revoker's quest, will not be reset as that's not tied to a rank.

As of now, all titles except MMXIX and Undying are still obtainable and not time-limited. The next seasonal title that comes with Season of Dawn will probably be the only addition to that list next season.

Well the only catalyst I have on progress is Sturm. Would that go away? I don't have Eriana's Vow catalyst yet only the stupid Banshe-44 quest to calibrate that weapon.

hmm, so I just bought the deluxe* thing so I have only 4 days of this seaosn of undying :( I picked up the weapon frames from ikora.. will I still be bale to continue those or gg.. I really wanted optitaptiepoptiecoptie revolver :"/

Those weapons are drops from Vex Offensive seasonal activity. And they will go away. You got plenty of time still to do them. As in 1 Vex Offensive run takes only bout 20m

I wonder if it's a better idea to skip the quest for erianas and hope for a less neckbeard method in the future.

Wonder if you get the exotic as a world drop later, the vow quest will be given by Banshee still.. and without that seasonal bonus, jeez..

You have to do the first mission on the moon, then you can hunt gatelords. They spawn about a minute after a public event. Kill 5 and you gain access to the vex offensive. The seasonal weapons drop constantly there, so you can run it a few times and have all the weapons you want taking up your vault :p

You can probably do all that in less than 2 hours.

I wouldn't say any of the seasonal weapons are better than regular stuff you can get, though, but they have a unique look if you want to use a gun covered in rust and leaves :p

The very first machine gun you get, Hammerhead, is probably better than the seasonal Temporal Clause, and Pluperfect isn't all that great. I mean, it's adequate for an auto-rifle, and I like the design, but overall performance isn't better than anything else I have. So, you're not missing out on too much.
