How to do a strike with only two players?

Hello my husband and I been looking for this answer all over but can't find anything. We mainly want to two man it as a couple to learn together without the extra player. Plus we have a bounty telling us to two man nightfall.

On the strike mission screen, there are nightfalls on the right that you can do as two ppl.

go to nightfall : strikes (right one at 4th option) with equipment lock..
and you can only play limited strike (only 3 strike).

thats how you clear quest from the event crimson days.

To expand on what they said above, the way to do it is Nightfalls. Nightfall: The Ordeal has no matchmaking at 950 or 980 levels, so if you can handle one of these, that is one way. The other is to do a regular Nightfall, another option on the vanguard node. These nightfalls predate the Ordeal versions, you can pick from three? of them each week, and because they can be modified by the Five of Swords challenge card, have no matchmaking either. These are 820 if I remember right, and without any modifier on your challenge card are simply slightly harder strikes, no champions or anything, so should likely be what you go for.
