Bungie, fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EDZ obelisk already
this is borderline absurd, even by bungie standards.

They're quick enough to add new Eververse items though...

Are you suggesting that the artists and 3D modelers who work on creating Eververse cosmetics should be working on bug fixes? That's gonna create more problems than it would solve, lol...

No, the point is for ever bug fix there's 10 new ornaments/cosmetics to purchase. It's pretty obvious where their interests lie. The season is already 1/3rd of the way through and it hasn't been fixed, think about that.

There would be absolutely no benefit to halting new Eververse items until the bug is fixed. The bug would not get fixed more quickly. Eververse is not relevant to this conversation.

It has taken a lot longer to fix than it should have. The Christmas break is the real reason that it took so long though. It was a really annoying bug at first but you can just use the Tower obelisk instead now, so it isn't really a big deal...

😂 you completely missed the point..
Development teams have departments for each and every structure of a game, complaining about cosmetics isn't adding anything, the designers and 3d artists just did their job.
If anything blame the managers or blame the department dedicated to fixing the specific bug but if I can take a guess, they don't know how to fix it yet, bugs aren't obvious and in triple A games, editing code can ♥♥♥♥ up a lot of other things/ assuming it's not fixed yet.

It's unreal how everyone thinks it's as simple as "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fix it".
Trouble might be that each departments probably in different buildings, in various cities with each likely avoiding dealing with the other. Communication is a wonderful thing...and productive too I hear.

They are. Start reading the TWAB's and you wouldn't have to make posts like this.

How do you rank up an obelisk from the tower?

You can't, he doesnt know what he's talking about. And the Tower obelisk is semi-bugged now too.

That being said, you SHOULD be able to do everything from the tower obelisk. It's stupid that you cant. Whats the point of creating a central obelisk that has almost NO functionality?

No, but maybe Bungie shouldnt hire a dozen modelers for Eververse when the game has an insane number of bugs that just keeps growing. They already pull in a ton of money, more than when they were with Activision. Time to actually put that money towards the game, not into milking even more money in a nonstop fashion.

Actually they are not fixing this yet. They put out news the other week that "yes it will be fixed soon!" only when the time came for that patch to be deployed, Bungie gave a revised statement that they hadnt actually fixed it yet so we need more delay.

Enigma has a point, obviously you can't turn modellers into bug hunters but the point is that if you can afford to have 10 staff working round the clock to churn out trinkets for Eververse then you can afford more than just one guy who has to try and fix the bugs. The studio could have a team working on quality control and removing bugs but the suits in Bungie's accounting department have likely told them that hunting bugs does not bring in extra revenue and so they will only pay Timmy to find every bug and fix it.

Bungie are fast enough to patch Exotic quest and the ability to solo Riven but have still left severe game breaking bugs in the game for over a month i.e Wishender, EDZ Obelisk, Central Tower Obelisk and Tess Waypoint.
You know for sure that if there was a bug to earn 1,000's of bright dust it would be patched within the day.

I would lower your standards a bit since this is basically a completely different company using the bungie name. They seem to have this fear of fixing stuff in a timely manner like other games do, and instead fix a lot of stuff after a month, and add a lot more bugs like the recent wish ender bug. Hell some stuff that existed in destiny 1 are still in this game which is pretty sad
Bungie has never been better since they left activision. I have no idea what componany you are talking about.

this. microtransactions rule the roost, even if they're unpopular. just a consequence of trying to have fun in a capitalist hellhole.

How do you rank up an obelisk from the tower?

You can't. You just need to interact with the EDZ obelisk once to rank it up, then you can use the tower obelisk and never go back to the EDZ one.

You have no idea how many people are working on art and how many people are working on bugfixes. There could be 1 artist and 100 people working on bugfixes for all you know.

Also, the artists who work on Eververse items are likely also working on other assets, therefore are necessary even if they were to remove the Eververse store and microtransactions entirely.

There is literally no relationship between bugfixes and Eververse cosmetics... I'm not sure why people keep bringing this up, lol.

No one ever said there was a connection, they simply stated the well established fact that bug hunting is way down at the bottom of the list of priorities for most developers as fixing a game they have already sold you brings them no extra revenue.

Also you don't interact with the EDZ obelisk once unless you've magically found a bounty that rewards 20,000 fractaline nibbles.

not much for reading, are you? the point is, bungie lags behind on so many bugs, but never misses an opportunity to throw a bunch of new ♥♥♥♥ into everver$e. fixing bugs doesn't buy the ceo a third summer mansion.

It’s you who seems to have difficulty reading.

Artists and 3D modellers create Eververse items. Programmers fix bugs. Two different teams doing different things.

What you’re doing is like sitting in a restaurant and complaining that waiters are taking people’s orders instead of helping to cook the food faster. The food doesn’t cook faster if the waiters stop taking orders.
