Can't see Xur

This is my first time trying to find him. I went to Io, Giant's Scar where he's supposed to be found, but I can't see him, not in the map nor in the world. Do I have to I have to do something to be able to see him?

Yeah, actually find him. That's basically it.

You'll never see him on the map (not in this capacity, anyway).
He's in a small cave (when you enter it; on the right, at the backend of it). He may be hard to spot in that cave if your display settings are too dark...?

You gotta walk right to him. I usually look for a collection of other people's names, that is a pretty good indicator that they're grouped around him.

Even without that, you cut through most of the enemies with bloody ease. Thing is simply a gem from the start, with primary ammo(!). Pretty sweet indeed. :-D
