Current fastest way to farm essence of dawn?

Anyone got a tip on the quickest way? I have been grinding Lake of shadows and doing Evas quests. But is there a faster way?

normal strike playlist is the fastest way that i know of atm.

you should receive 10-15 or so per strike...each should take 10 minutes or less depending on how fast you run the strike

Best way is to use an afk farming method

Game mode: forges

Prep:

Get your light BELOW 750

If you have the 21 power class item use it.

If you have the halloween mask, its 0 power. Slap on a few 750 weapons from planetary vendors and viola

Process:

Once your below 750, que up forges. You will be paired with orher sub 750 players doing the same thing. Sit back, relax. Run for how long you want. Overnight is a good option

You get 1 - 3 essence per run and runs last less than a minute ( transition time not included)

indeed but it only gives around 40 per hour. Doing strikes will give at least twice that amount per hour

Yea its not fast, but you can wake up from the night to 300 more. So for afk strategy its useful. Im not saying use that method for active play, but for when your doene for the day, going to sleep, work, etc

As BlockChainGG have told you doing Vanguard Strikes will speed things up to you. Go on adept difficult and speedrun and about every 16-23 minutes on each run you will be awarded with 16 of essence but if you choose to play as usual those strikes you will be awarded with 21 of essence by killing all enemies.

Yea that's what i've been doing when i'm not playing. Then I login and farm ingredients.

the xp for cookie bounties is insane...

crucible, strike playlist, afk forges
edit:
crucible net 10-11 for 8-10 min
strike playlist gives 16-18 for 12-16 min
afk forges 1-2 for 2-3 min

If you afk forges...make sure you get at or under 650 power....that way you only queue up with other afkers

true...but you will be hurting other players if you try to speed run the ordeal...which is why i recommended the normal playlist.

Crucible, more specifically MAYHEM! matches last like 5 minutes and you get 11-13 essence :)

Tier 1 Reckoning is the fastest way to get essence. Each run takes like 2 minutes and there's no loading. You get 8 essence each time.

AFKing in forges will most likely get you banned.
