The Ace Of Spades Quest Is Hilarious
Forsaken is all about avenging Cayde 6 and stopping the Barons and Uldren from killing more guardians, threatening the city, raising an undead army, and later stopping Riven

And when you finally finish it. When it is finally done, in order to get Cayde's Ace of spades

You have to kill guardians

The more you play D2 the more you will realise quest steps make no sense in most cases.

I am becoming very highly convinced Eva Levante is actually a Khorne Cultist from Warhammer 40k

She is making us make cookies from our enemies, that's only one step away from Skulls for the Skull Throne

I don't know how they got into this universe but I know it to be true

Cookies for the Cookie Throne! 300 of them to be precise!

It does make more sense than many things in the game, actually. The Ace of Spades has a perk that revolves around precision kills, therefore in order to attune the gun to your hand, Banshee has you play some Crucible with hand cannons ; opponents there are much stronger and faster than your ordinary foes so this hastens the calibration.

Also, you're not murdering anyone, not like Uldren and the Barons. Guardians you bring down all get back up seconds later.

It's crucible. You aren't "killing" guardians.

Cayde was a known quickdraw, he'd often participate in the crucible, it makes sense because you're honoring him by creating a homage with his "play style".
His lucky pants tells secret about his quickdraw, quite funny one actually XD

Cayde played in Crucible quite a bit so it actually makes sense. Even even "beat" Shaxx.
I mean, at least you're not sniping their ghost

It's not a big deal, but if you didn't know, Crucible is actually a "sport" in the Destiny 2 universe. You can hear civilians in the tower talking about "watching" the Crucible, and Shaxx giving remarks related to it being a "sport." So when you play the Crucible, from a story standpoint, you don't do it to "kill" guardians out of cold blood, you do it because it is a sport, and people in the Last City are most likely watching the match on their TVs. It's like the Last City's version of a sports channel. Also, when you "kill" other guardians in the crucible, they don't stay dead; because your motive when you play isn't to keep them dead. Again this is from a "story" standpoint.

Gambit, on the other hand, is a completely different story. That's the whole reason why the Drifter doesn't want you to "snitch" on him, and that ties into the whole "Dredgen" lore.

Either way, I do strongly agree that quest steps don't make no sense.

The Last City's idea of sports is messed up

Your definition on morality would become warped the more you come to think it's normal that you can not die.
