It just so happens that she also received a VAC ban on her profile at the same time though?
Please be helpful.
Essentially the ban made them very, very upset, and I'm much quicker at using computers so it'd be easier for me to do it, but it really is none of your business. I'd appreciate help instead of a bunch of questions like these.
I'm not going to help someone who clearly has no idea how the ban system works, destiny doesn't use VAC, go tell your "friend" to stop being a cheating prick who ruins online games for others.
You are correct in that it is now your business that I posted it. But what is your business is that she got banned. What isn't are the off-topic, unrelated things as in why I am posting for her.
Are you 100% sure that VAC isn't used? She got a VAC ban at the same time and D2 was recently moved to Steam. She doesn't even play, let alone use anything fishy, in VAC-enabled games. There is absolutely no reason for the VAC ban to have appeared.
EDIT: You are wrong. The ban on the profile is destiny-2 related: https://i.imgur.com/GT5hX1h.png
A destiny game ban shows up as an ordinary game ban on the profile, NOT a VAC ban, 100% certain! Your friend must have played a game with VAC with cheating software running and the ban just conveniently hits at the same time as a ban from destiny.
It's quite hard to argue the innocence of someone who just got banned from two games in one day, perhaps youd better check your friends PC to see if any malicious software is running if you trust them.
My bad, it was indeed a game ban on the profile and not VAC. I still would like more info on the ban and will continue to pressure the devs to give one. It is bullsh*t that not even a reason is provided on a game she spent hundreds on.
I understand the whole "friend" thing is sus but you could also be helpful and assume I'm not bluffing. I'll get her to post on her main if it's so bad then I guess.
Sorry for being passive aggressive earlier, I take these posts with a grain of salt but since you were so mature about it, I feel terrible.
1. They do not tell you why you get a ban for very good reason. If you would like to know why they don't tell you I suggest you use google to find out.
2. Making a post in a user discussion forum that Bungie probable don't even read is not putting pressure on the devs of Destiny.
3. Making a post in a public discussion forum for users will not help you or do anything. We cant help you as we are just users. Forum moderators cannot help you. This thread will do nothing but get you trolled.
4. It clearly says "Steam support is unable to remove your in game ban" What is it that you do not understand about that statement.
5. Nobody believes its your friend that got the ban so stop pretending.
6. Bungie issued the ban you need to contact them not post in a Steam forum.
7. Stop cheating and ruining other peoples games.
For the first part I'm aware valve cant do anything. I'm merely asking for help on how to possibly combat this ban or at least get info.
And another cheater assumption. Why? Is it so hard to provide what I *can* possibly do to contact devs?
