Well... He's right. The feeling of the guns in the source engine is incredible and no other games come even close. Destiny is the clostest really but it's still pretty far apart.
The problem is CSGO is PvP only. If I had 4 other guys to play with constantly I'd choose it over Destiny.
Actually gun play is very easily comparable unlike gameplay. The latter is obviously not comparable and absolutely different.
I give that though - some people might prefer other types of gun play and there is none objectively better but I don't know a single person that doesn't think CSGO gun play isn't solid unlike the way a lot of other games feel while shooting guns.
Being two different types of game means that while you can compare the gunplay, there are better comparisons out there, simply due to one being a competitive 5v5, and one being a more casual style FPS.
CS:GOs gunplay is entirely built around the game's competitive design, and it's pretty tough to get the hang of, and borderline impossible to master, unless you're some sort of deity.
Destiny's gunplay has an extremely low skill floor, and a fairly low skill ceiling, since it only comes down to aim, rather than aim, plus memorising recoil patterns.
That's why I'd say that neither has better gunplay than the other, just different, due to the entirely different design principles of each game.
If you want a good PvP fix that has the gunplay like Destiny, go play Halo.
Pvp is not "complete ***". All it would take for it to be good would be a global rebalance, which would be very easy to do if the devs wanted to. Nerf this, buff that, disable supers in Elimination, etc. That's literally the only thing people are complaining about : that some items or abilities are too strong.
And it's not "widely hated", despite what you might think by reading this forum. I'm below average in skill and I never have to wait to find a match.
They're two very different games with different play-styles.
