Symmetry Remastered - what does it count?

I just played a 920 Nightfall using the Symmetry scout rifle for the Symmetry Remastered quest, used it almost exclusively, killed a lot of mobs. It only went from 142 to 146, so it is not counting kills.

What is it counting? Is there any way to do this faster?

Completions, base 1/400 progress per completion, the boosters in the pass up that to 2/400 per mission/match completion, then up to 4/400. You dont need the symmetry equipped for progress either.

AFAIK the only things that count are the activities that are indicated, and +4 per activity is as good as it gets. It's similar to Eriana's except there's more activities that add to it, every activity gives the same progress so no Gambit Prime grind to finish ASAP, and you don't have to have it equipped.

Which means about 100 activities, easily obtainable playing normally for me at least.

Afaik the fastest way to get it, is to go 'Team Scorched'... max 5 mins/match , well...plus the waiting to actually get a match, but still..

I am so glad that I don't need to equip it. That gun is good against soft mobs but feels absolutely terrible against those that require DPS. My legendary masterworked bow with explosive heads is so much better at all-around nightfall killing, and let's me use an exotic at the same time.

Also side note, if you never completed your Eriana’s Vow catalyst quest then it now works the same way as Symmetry.

Dont need to have it equipped. Its not on quadrouple mode anymore though sadly
