extreme texture bug
i've downloaded destiny 2 trought steam (twice) and all the "moving" texture (players textures;npc's;animals textures; ecc ecc) are streched out and i cause a lot of lag. in the "hub" of the online game it is practically unplkayable because of the quantity of lines of those streched textured and graphics bug in the vwerious npc's and players textures (my "skin" appears streched and bugged and i see all the other players as a streched line/ lines with a name on them). I already reinstalled the game twice. i tried restarting (the game, the os and the computer). what should i do? why is my game so messed up? is there a way to fix it?

you sure your GPU isn't fried? because that sounds like artifacts to me... D2 is incredibly well optimized for wide range of hardware, but it still puts significant strain, heating rig up good.

my gpu works well in every other application and game; my rx 560 on VM does not use all 4 gb but it uses only 2. the gpu itself has nothing wrong; maybe the vm gpu has something(??)

First off.....Why the ♥♥♥♥ are you gaming trough a VM

Sounds like graphic artefact lines which means your graphics card are not up to the job anymore.
Maybe getting a new better one will sort the problem out.

Check to see if you have the latest drivers.

Yeah... it's no wonder everything is getting messed up if it's being ran through a VM

VM's are more basic than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2005 HP PC. They are ment for training mostly. How to install a OS or work with a program without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over your own PC.

if your running a mini server (judging by the weird specs) the dual cpu setup isn't compatible with most games. That and running in a VM would tare the resolution scaling of the game .
D2 does support linux so you wouldn't need to run VMware in the first place, if you're not deep diving, running bots or just layered cheating there's no real reason to need VM .
run it on a windows system, get the linux version
if it still doesn't work set the resolution to the lowest value and if that works bump up until it breaks, then use the last working res

Can you play other games?
I've got a GTX 1060 6GB and run Destiny on very high settings on a extra wide monitor with no problems.

Artefact lines only mean one problem (from previous experience), your graphics card not up to the job anymore.

The GTX 1060 is not much more than a new RX560 if you need to purchase anew one.

Try playing around within the video settings in Destiny and lower some, may give some better results.
