Ikelos weapons

How do you get hold of the shotgun and sniper? From the collections page it says it's from doing Escalation Protocols, which is quite self explanatory, but I've completed that to level 7 so many times now that I've collected 4-5 complete sets of armour. Still no weapons. Am I missing something here, or is it just an incredible run of bad luck?

yeah its mostly bad luck, you get the armor from the chest that spawns after you defeat the boss, but the weapons themselves drop as legendary engrams from the boss right as you kill him, so its mostly luck afaik, just keep farming level 7s and eventually they start dropping. yesterday I farmed about 10 runs of escalation and didnt get anything the first 8 runs, but on run 9 and 10 i got the sniper and the SMG

Yeah, i played like 25 times of those protocol. Only to get one sniper, shotgun and smg.

There is a weekly rotation of different bosses and different ikelis weapon drops
So on some weeks you won’t be able to get some weapons
And the rng is harsh with these also

I've never received a weapon from Escalations. Just about everything else though.

As touched on here, there are five different bosses in EP that rotate weekly. Three of them drop just one weapon each, and the other two can drop any of the three weapons. You'd have to google the rotation to make sure you are killing the right boss for the weapon you want. After that, it is just RNG, although it apparently has bad luck protection that increases your chance every attempt until you get it.

Ahh I see. So according to this schedule I just found, it should be Nur Abath, Crest of Xol, who will drop a shotgun this week.

The shotgun is a solid one, worth having one.....the others,no so much.

How do you know next week will be shotgun only? is there a calendar for it or is it on a set rotation?

Could have fooled me! I don't care which weapon I get as long as I get one to finish the machines gun.. it annoyed me when a friend joined me and got the sniper first try.

ehm, you only need the ikelos hand cannon for the "machine's gun" exotic quest which you get from the quest chain...
