Why remove the vex offensive activity?
I get that it's a new season but removing gameplay content because of that seems like a terrible idea

Because vex offensive was the whole focus for the previous season, and the content for this season is a result of killing the undying mind in vex offensive.
Also the armor and weapons like wtf? How are people going to be able to get them? Does Ikora even have the bounties anymore? Are the vex still on the moon?

They aren't, Bungie warned everyone from the start of Shadowkeep.

And I say good riddance, it wasn't content OP, it was just terrible.

It's Bungie way of artificially creating exclusive content and increasing 'value' to their season pass. The faster you buy, the more you get to play. If you don't, then you miss out on loot and titles.

Old system of course had content locked behind the season, but it was perm. You can buy and play and earn whenever you want. Hell, I still don't have Black Armory title, and that's fine. I'll just earn it slowly as I randomly take part in the activity. No need to grind.

Bungie wants to move away from freedom of choice in play and to specific lanes of content that dry up.

Every MMO does this, this ain't new.
I could understand armor ornaments and cosmetic stuff but armor and weapons? An entire activity? And "Well it wasn't good content" isn't a valid argument
It seems that Eriana's vow may also not be available anymore if anyone knows if it is

What is the incentive to buy it now that you can't play what's included in the DLC anymore

It's because the Vex found it offensive.

They needed to take that activity offline cuz of quality issues. They will improve it and it will may come back fall next year.

My guess is to save space, I mean, its already frickin 80+ GB just to download the game,
and keep growing, Some people been complaining about this.
Also limited time content are usually sells better.

if you purchased shadowkeep and now it is not accessible.

what did you pay for?

degrading the environment is not a good idea but it does require you to "purchase" new content.

it does not get my vote.

When it comes to getting armor, weapons, and exotics from a previous season (Season of the undying now for example) it will start dropping randomly next season. Bungie stated that they didn't want to keep adding activities that don't get played often (The reason why forges are on a daily rotation now) and decided to make some new activities season exclusive and get rid of them when the season is done
