how do i appear offline in the destiny 2 game? Not on steam

My friend keeps wanting to join all the time and I don't like to keep telling him no. How do I appear offline while I am in Destiny 2?

I want to appear offline so that in the roster menu I'm not shown as online

Have you tried changing your Fireteam to be invite only, or even just Closed.

Just say you'll remove him/her if they keep nagging you all the time.

simply make him clear that u'll remove him from your list.

Appearing offline is a platform service, not built in to the game. So, if you wish to appear offline, you'd need to set that in your platform options. However, the other options suggested here, i.e. Closed or Invite Only for your fireteam would definitely prevent them from joining.
