Question about the Divinity quest

So i finished all the puzzles but had to get off before the final boss which I later finished with a group that probably wasnt doing the quest. I didnt get the Divinity and I later learned that you can only get it in one instance or you can only get with a group of players who all got the puzzles done. The question is, should I redo the final boss fight with a divinity group or do I have to restart the whole raid to get it? Im already frustrated that this happened but I also dont want to make it even more annoying

Edit: So I have decided to restart the whole thing, I got to the 3rd puzzle/ Final boss but I have to once again go. Will my divinity progress be saved if I joined another group that was doing the divinity quest as well, or is it meant to be done in one run?

You should be able to get it if the group you join is either doing the puzzles or did all the puzzles and is on the final boss.
The later is how I got my Divinity. After finishing the boss I got it with the rest of the group.
