Ascendant Challenge? (Dreaming City)

I got to the part where i gave an offering to the oracle, and then it gave me a bounty with no time limit, saying to do an ascendant challenge. Is it the same thing as the blind well? Or different thing?

Different thing. You'll need a Tincture of Queensfoil to go ascendant. Going ascendant will let you go into the ascendant plane to do the challenge. Some bounties will require you to wear the armor, remaining ascendant or just plain do the bounty.

Some of it is tough and will need another player with you.

Where the portal to the plane really is, there are sites that tell you where. Read the bounty carefully as it might give you a hint where its at.

If you go to Petra, she will have a weekly bounty to do the ascendant challenge. The description of the bounty will give you a hint for where you need to go, it changes location weekly, between the three lost sectors and the three offshoot areas (The Spine of Keres, Harbinger's Seclude, and The Garden Of Elisa or something).

You will know you are in the right area when it says something like "The seam between realities grows thin". At that point, use a Tincture of Queensfoil and look around for an ascendant portal (that isn't usually there, like the ones that take you to the conflux). Each challenge has a different means of completing it, so follow the instructions on the screen and play it by ear (or just google it).

Seems pretty complicated. Then what was the point of offering to the oracle? (Nevermind i go watch a youtube video on it. But thanks fellas.)

I don't think after doing the whisper quest solo anything in this game surprises me in case of difficulty. Nothing tops that mission for me.
