region chest

hi is there some locked in places till you do a quest as missing a few i cant get?

open your map and look for the cross marks. those are all region chests
they are always on the main map and not instanced or smth.

No. Regional chests are out in the open. You can access them at any time.

Some are incredibly tricky to get to, if you can't find a chest at the spot indicated then look above you for ledges it could be on or investigate the area for caves since the chest might be below you.

so far i know one region chest has a puzzle. The one in the watchtower on Mercury

i think, but am not certain, to get the region chest in the Mercury Lighthouse (Brother Vance's hangout) you have to do all the Osiris books.

I'm probably not getting this one anytime soon. There's always a chance to get it with one of my other characters though.

Except the BS chests on mercury.

Public event triggered and restricted to one at a time and to make things worse, the chest only spawns on the first side you visit so it's a race against others.

Sometimes looking for a region chest leads to an adventure and finding a place I had no idea existed.

There's only three that have something special to them. That being three of Mercury's region chests. Two are locked behind the one and only Public Event on that planet and the other is locked behind a puzzle in the Lighthouse. The two locked behind a Public Event require you to do a step that makes the event Heroic.
