Bows not dropping?

Hi, new player. I've been at it for about two weeks, and have not seen a bow drop yet. I thought it might be because I didn't have Forsaken, but I purchased that on Monday and still no bows.

Do I need to complete a certain mission or achievement before bows start dropping, or are they just super rare?

within my first 2 hours of the game (it downloaded today) I found an epic bow so I think your just very unlucky

You can forge a kinetic bow after you do the quest to unlock the Black Armory.

Can you do wanted bounties for the Spider yet? He gives you a bow. There's also two bows unlocked by raids. Go look in your collection and see what you need to do to get them.

Gotta admit I crushed my first three bows thinking they were some Robin Hood nonsense, then I tested one out of curiousity and they are actually devilishly good fun.

Oh, yeah, and if you have season pass you can make an exotic bow with Banchee 44.

you got really lucky 30h in, i got one during a public event. i also spend 25h before getting an exotic engram, then dropped 4 in an hour...

You need Forsaken for access.


Bow drops are very RNG and only if you're lucky off Random Legendary Engrams.
Maybe Xur might be selling this week.

I keep getting bow and swords, it's really annoying but it's RNG OP. Just use a hand cannon like everyone else until one drops.

one of Black Armory quests gives you a bow. you basically forge one bow.

I was unable to do Spider Bounties and was only able to access them after I completed some Story Forsaken Missons
