Menagerie - "Players do not have access to this activity" HELP

Hi. I'm kinda new to Destiny (got the game for free on BNET but never really played it much till now). So i got the quest from banshee, got my chalice, did a run of the menagerie and killed Arunak but it didn't count in my "Truth" quest and now I can't redo the Menagerie it just says "Players do not have access to this activity" ... Help?

i think Menagerie is Year 2 Content, could be wrong, but if it is Year 2 Content you will have to purchase Forsaken to access it.

its not I Ran it once... then i got the same issue, and this game isnt worth buying the content for even with getting the first 2 addons for free..

Check your chalice again, if I remember rightly after the first run, there's an upgrade you need to do before you'll be allowed to re-enter the activity freely.

Everybody is allowed to do one run, after the first run you need to buy the year two content

You do not need Forsaken to run Forges, Menagerie or Reckoning.

Wait did you finish the quest, The Invitation, yet? I think I blocks you from re entering until the quest is finished.

You need to upgrade your chalice before you can return to the Menagerie. You have to buy 'Power and Efficiency I' to give you a way to obtain runes - the reason you can't return is because you don't currently have a way to get more runes for the chalice.
