the best way to get a world drop exotic on nessus?

I'm certain. Destiny is often misleading with its wording or vague. You don't need to get an Exotic Engram on Nessus. I got mine from a run of the Escalation Protocol on Mars and was able to finish that quest.

Any engram can be picked up. The part with the Drang requires you just killing enemies on Nessus. Engrams can be anywhere.

Farm heroic public events. Yellow bars have the best chances, so events like Fallen Glimmer Extraction where it spams majors are a good chance. It's just RNG. Nightfall is also a really good option.

lost sectors. Tho it's super rare to get exotic from world drops, but chances are highest in those areas. I just got that wolf shotgun exotic on mars. just dropped from a normal enemy red or yellow idk. but not the boss. It's the dark eye or something boss from one of spider's quest, the pricy one. So then u have lost sector area + bounty + adventure for it. Not sure how that affects chances but seems good idea to me. It might be also easily farmable that one, because you can't kill the boss till u triggered it via green blood to show itself again. But i expect it to be on a 30 minute timer or something. But if not, one could just stay in there indefinitively and frag fresh spawns.

I wished I had this quest at the beginning...the season exotic engrams I've opened and from Xur...it would definitely helped me...was silly. I really thought the reward of this ''Introduction to destinations'' was only the resource cache.
Well this boring...is there any other easier way to acquire Drang? Found with Zavala.

Okay decrypting legendary engrams on the tower does not progress the quest not even with banshe-44. It all going end to pick those engrams on Nessus anyway.

Worst of all is for exotic engram.

I am freaking out...anyone know specifically a quest or public activity on how to get exotic engram on Nessus since Decryptarch or anyone on the tower does not count toward the quest progress.
