Fireteam size

Hello, I have a question about the fireteam size.

Why is it so small ? I think matchmaking with small fireteam is nice if you play solo and I have been playing on my own for a while.

But recently I have been trying to get my friends to play it but we seem to get the "cursed" number as we often end with 4 to 5 people, it's too much for the majority of the activities like strikes, and at the same time not enough for raids. We often end doing PVP but we are not really good nor have good gear so it's a struggle, and PvE seem to offer much more adventures, and this is what we want to do, explore do missions together, loot rare content, etc.

We even made a clan just for fun but apparently we cannot even hang out all together in the tower, we have to be in orbit for that.

I wish there was more missions allowing us to be more than 3 (I know reckoning allow us to be four but that's all I was able to find)

There are some 6 player activities but I agree, patrol should have up to or more than 6 players.

Patrol areas have a player capacity of 9 people. These limits are probably in place due to things like network/server load/consoles.

Considering Consoles has no issue going ABOVE 9 people *Stares at MMO's and Online FPS of the likes like Ps3 MAG or any of the Battlefield Games*
