How to use Empyrean Cartographer Hood

Hi, yesterday i get Empyrean Cartographer Hood in a chest and i know that i need to use a 3 years armor but i dont know how and where to loot one to apply the skin. Thanks

Make sure you're not using an exotic head piece.

Yeah i only got a yellow helmet, that's why, but can i use a early game helmet and add Empyrean ornament on it ?

I only tried universal ornaments on legendaries where it works.

As you can tell, being able to disguise exotic gear would have resulted in gameplay advantages.

Well i got blue helmet but i can't equip Empyrean Cartographer Hood on it, i dont know if i need an armor from the season 3 or a legendary helmet

You need to head into your inventory and in the second tab (I think, have a look around), you will find the helmet. You need to hover over it and hold F to unlock the ornament.

u need to use a legendary {purple} and some purples dont allow ornaments like the christmas 2018 set

Hi already unlocked the ornament, i just need to have a legendary helmet and i hope i can equip ornament. Thanks for the help guys.
