Red War Sword Rewards

When I look in the collections tab there are 3 unique swords that you can only acquire from doing the red war campaign, and I've completed the red war campaign on 2 characters and havent recieved the sword rewards... Is there a specific vendor i need to visit in order to claim those swords?

I'm pretty sure they're random world drops now. They're also some of the worst weapons in the game. Save yourself the effort...

Same here - finished the campaign 2 days ago & nothing.

Today I just got a random drop in the EDZ of 'Crown Splitter' which is the Titan version of the Red War Campaign power weapon sword... funny thing though, I'm playing a Warlock...!!

Not totally convinced that should be happening as it's completely the wrong class of weapon for my character??
Didn't know that was a thing but, hey...

When it comes to Destiny, I learned to stop asking questions a while back because, let's face it, there's not a lot of the whole 'making sense thing' going on in the story at this point as they don't seem at all interested in shielding new players from storyline spoilers that practically throw themselves at you like suicide bombers at a virgin giveaway party!!

...wait, is that PC... can I say that!!? Ahhhh whatever, who gives a crap!! :D

1: if they are random world drops, I sure havent gotten them since Forsaken released,

Pre-New Light i believe that they were still campaign rewards. yes, they are still pretty decent!

If this is the case then Bungie are some seriously lazy boys & girls!!

Even the 3 swords description say they are rewards for completing the Campaign mode - which then raises the question; If bungie have been too lazy to update the collections descriptions, then just how may of them have the wrong info still attached??!

That's gonna make exotic farming more difficult then... External info site here we come!!! :D

Update

Decided to get onto the forums on bungie.net and ask some questions about different things but, here are the two bits of info pertinent to this subject;

Post New Light all three of these swords have now been officially retired as campaign 'rewards' and now drop as random loot drops during gameplay out in the wilds.

Furthermore, unlike any other kind of drop (excluding Exotic Ornament drops) there is NO guarantee that the sword will be for the class you are playing - hence the reason I got a Titan sword rather than a sword for a Warlock!

Link that with the fact that you can only play the campaign ONCE with each class (without deleting a character of course!) then it is quite possible that you could play the campaign & keep having to delete characters and still not get the sword for your class - which is just about as dumb as you can get!!

So the long & short of it is;
No campaign reward.
Random possibility for the swords to drop anywhere.
No guarantee it'll be for your class.
Don't take ANY notice of the 'collections' descriptions/locations as they're probably wrong because everyone at Bungie is far too lazy to update the info

So there you go, a definitive Bungie answer!

This is annoying :/

I'm getting so bored with this game because there is just no way to get the items you want. I did red war for doomfang pauldrons and this sword and they have both been removed and will only drop randomly. Issue is I have been playing around 160 hours now and had only a single exotic drop. I would just like a way to farm for something that isn't 980 end game content.
