Reminder that PvP in destiny is broken
Since rants on steam is the only thing that is "fixed" by bunbgie. Just remember that PvP in Destiny is broken and in Competitive you should rely on pure luck

EDIT: To clarify for "omggitgud" superheroes - really don't care about your e-sport level skills, also not going to list all the ♥♥♥♥ that is wrong with PvP again. Did that a lot of times. I just threw some poo at all of you because this bullsh|t is annoying. I do enjoy you raging about PvP being all about skilltacticsnotbrokenlalala.

i guess, theres no real ranking system in crucible anymore, evreryone just progresses on their crucible levels, no losses fees. this game is already more rigged than CSGO. why bother caring?

This doesn't even mean anything.

In what way is PVP broken?
What does luck have to do with anything?

Since when? If you want Bungie to read you have to go to their forum.

How about you just get good.

PvP ain’t broken at all, having lots of fun with my friends doing exotic quests and bounties in the crucible.

Inserts complaint of OEM, one hit titan melee, blink warlocks, invisi hunters, etc etc etc

It's not broken, but it is unbalanced and it primarily surrounds specific weapons more than anything. Like a mountain top/last word combination is disgusting and hardly able to be countered in close, med or even long range. Should people be punished for using weapons they grinded for? Course not. Should those weapons have lower damage overall? Hell yes.

Mountain top is a pocket missle launcher that can literally one shot on a direct hit or leave you with 10-25% hp after barely knicking you. What does it take to get it? Not much considering momentum control is literally jettisoning the weapon into people's pockets.

Granted, this is just one weapon of the many, many unbalanced ones in the game and we haven't even broken into class choices yet! Is it fun? Course it is, is it broken/unbalanced? Also a firm yes, but broken being broken balance not broken in general.

PvP in this is not luck. You were just in the wrong place at the time the titan just shoulder charged you coming around the corner (or head shot by a sniper/hand cannon). Can it be frustrating? Absolutely, but saying that it's luck implies RNG that is out of any players control, which is not true.

from team matchmaking to hit registering.

luck owns destiny 2's pvp.

Crucible wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to grind a thousand matches or more for various legendaries and exotics. But as it is, "get 100 precision kills with weapon X in crucible" is a ridiculous objective for anything.

I mean, you're not wrong. But I don't think anyone would claim it's "balanced" in the sense the the brand new player is on an even playing field as the vet with the weapons, armor, and mods.

But D2 is not trying to be a dedicated PVP game like Halo, COD, etc. You're right, D2's PVP is their way to motivate us to grind and grind and grind. I figured you'd expect that going into this though. You should have known this is a looter shooter, not Halo.

If you are expecting some type of balance in this game's pvp you are playing the wrong game, how can you balance a game with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of different armor and weapon combinations, its broken by design, this doesnt means that its good tho, personally i find it garbage but oh well, i take a broken pvp over a non existant one
Motherball Nov 1, 2019 @ 2:52pm
Sounds like every other PvP game.
DRUNK_CANADIAN Nov 1, 2019 @ 2:57pm
PVP is an absolute joke if u mean Cruciable....

...I find Gambit is semi-tolerable because there is a couple paths to victory.....so not always the clowns with the heavily grinded imba gear win.....cruciable is just that.....

In other games, I can progress in the PvE component without being forced to do 100 crucible matches for some PvE weapon.

While I think I know what you are getting at I just wanted to point out a veteran and a beginner will NEVER be on an even playing field.
