Screwed over by DDoSer (quitting until resolved)

I didn't know it was possible for people to swing so low over a quickplay crucible match, but apparently it is so. Somehow every time I log into destiny 2 now this DDoSer that found me in a crucible match instantly knows my new IP (have changed IP about 6 times now by unplugging modem overnight and verified there is a new IP) so clearly there is an easy to exploit flaw in the system that lets people track when you come online. Until this is fixed unfortunately I cannot put up with being DDoSed just so some sick ♥♥♥♥ can get his kicks. I'm throwing in the towel, which is a shame because I put in so much time into this game already and now I'm not able to play anymore. Goodbye fellow guardians, until I find a solution/bungie fixes the issue.

I've seen worse names. But they weren't DDoSed. How would you know it's them DDoSing you? It could be a problem with your network driver, or card/onboard LAN. Or background activity caused by malware, or a virus. All that will have to involve investigation on your part, to find out the cause.

Only thing to do is troubleshoot as I doubt someone is doing that on you because of a silly name, but rather a technical issue on your side.

Router logs show Denial of Service flooding from russian and swedish IPs which is typical of $5 booter services, and after changing my IP by leaving the modem offline, as soon as I start destiny 2 and connect to its servers, the DDoS instantly finds my new IP and starts knocking me offline again.

Unfortunately all bungo did by making this game f2p is open it up to the worst kind of people. I was going to buy the DLC next month but I don't think I can justify that purchase now considering how vulnerable this game makes me to DDoS, considering I rely on my internet connection for my job.

yes they do, and all they can do is give me a replacement for my exact model of modem which changes my IP. (cust support gives me the run-around every time talking about how they can't block IPs or whatever.)

All of them have multiple abuse reports against them for DDoS, port scanning, etc.

Random connection points that make sense of a game that utilizes p2p networking. If you were being DDoSed it would shut your entire internet down completely until the attack ended. It wouldn't just kick you off destiny every time you try to connect to the servers, especially if you're changing your IP.

The booter they're using sucks, it makes my connection ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for everything but doesn't stop me from basic browsing. It destroys my ping and upload though.

You mentioned Crucible in the post. Apparently some hackers have the ability to cheat by deliberately lagging players. Does it not happen if you're PvE?
