Zavala's voice

Am I the only new player that find his voice utterly misplaced.
Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against the actor and the voice.
and I get it they tried to get a recognisable voice but for me the voice doesnt fit the character or they didnt match up the visual acting with the voice at all. Thats why I dont feel the voice fits

I knew Lance Reddick more so from John Wick so you could imagine the cognitive dissonance I experienced from meeting Zavala as a new player.

That said he's grown on me. Especially after watching the trailers.

Yeah his voice is perfect for him. The tone and way he speaks sound calm and serious and deep.

That's irrelevant. We see Zavala in game and that's all the information we need to make the judgement on whether his voice is suitable or not.

It's suitable for me.

Some people forget some have a better sensitivity to detect such nuances more than others do. Other don't even recognize them, some just don't care.
That's why you have to differentiate that and thats why I notice his model and motion capturing is awfully off.

eh, most of the voice acting in the game is off really, don't even get me started with failsafe and the hot potato in her mouth.

then again voice actors are expensive but i get what you mean, he could be a strike guardian like the one we have in savathun's song or a citizen from the city.

Most of the characters have a really overplayed voice and it doesnt sound good at all. They all sound very unnatural to me and smells like sweat. Especially the ghost who have the same annoying level as the warframe ordis (warframe's best patch was that they put an option in the setting where u can mute this ♥♥♥♥ out of him.).
But i dont complain, i can barely hear the games autistic screetch because of the loud music i listen usually.
