No option to disable matchmaking for strikes? Great...

So I can solo queue for Heroic and Nightfall but not for normal Strikes?

So far running strikes with pugs is a nightmare in this game. No one is using the chat, nobody will wait for anyone, people just rush like hedless chicken get buthurt when you got more kill at the end of the strike. Really?
I will probably look for a chill clan but even then I would like to run them solo at my own pace from time to time.

I really don't get bungie unless this desing was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea.

I mean.. The chat is useless in Strikes. There's only one Strike that would benefit from it, The Corrupted, and even with that said its easy to just bruteforce the mechanic in the normal variant.

People are speedrunning to get tokens/Imperials/runes/bounties done, so nothing surprising there. As for kills, people are being people, looking out for themselves while doing bounties/pinnacle quests (sometimes in the dickish way). Can't do much about that either.

Although yeah, it wouldn't hurt to have a solo option when it comes to Strikes, just like the Firewalled Verdant Forest during the Revelry.

As for chat bein useless, I would like to use it as it was intended to, you know talk to ppl?
Even bacis "hello" and "tyhf" "gg" at the end of the striek. Or "hey can you please wait for the rest of us so we can do coop in this mmo game as it was intended" so a player can reply "sorry m8 farming" and now at leas I know what to expect.

Not droping names but coming form coop games where ppl at least see the chat, even if they are looking out for themselves minimal comunication can sometimes do wonders.

Eh we will see what they will do with this game after New Light comes out.

The problem with that is like myself a lot of PC players use Discord and disable the in game voice chat.

Well you are doing it wrong, you will mostly fail to get some sort of interaction with anybody in the middle of an activity, and a lot of people specially PvE player are lone wolves, try go to The tower post on the Local chat, go to LFG sites or join a clan, otherwise youll have a particularly hard time trying to socialize in the middle of activities or just by free roaming. Also who youve been playing with I never had Nobody complain of getting the most kills in a Strike LOL, usually the less kills even the bettter cause pretty much most of us just want to be done with it as soon as possible to move to another activity.

Yes I understand that but like I said I never had a problem like this in other games. I imagine it comes form the fact that the game is designed like this and players just adapted and got used to it. Still coming to d2 it's a wierd expirience

Omg please flex more Where did I write I 'need' comms for strikes? No one needs to comunicate when they do strikes, it's a linera easy mission. And because of that I want an option to do them solo just like nightfall and heroics.

I was talking about the option to use the chat to write something to somebody. even basic "hello". But I imagine reading the whole topic was to much for "ur" brain.

Ok, I guess having an option that does not affect you is to much to ask for part of the d2 community. For me it's not fine as it it, it's borderline stupid to not give players an option to run them solo.

It's the same with choosing strikes. It's random, it's like this since the launch, it's fine as it is... oh w8 they added an option to choos strikes from the planet map? Imagine that an option.

"It's fine as it is" should be the motto for d2, folks at activision would love it if they still had the game.

This might come off sounding a little rude at the beginning but I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that, just trying to explain more. Nobody cares about getting kills in strikes, or working together in strikes really until maybe the end boss just to melt the boss as fast as possible. If you dont kill adds in a strike or die, or your team mate dies, it has zero consequences for the outcome of the end of the strike. They are meant to be quick and fast ~5mins or so really, and in game text chat is really too slow of an option to use during a strike because of the fast pace, you might get a gg or congrats on getting that exotic at the end of a strike but I wouldn't expect any other interaction. That being said running through a strike as quick as possible is not the worst thing to do really, once I sat down to farm 40 strikes in a day to unlock the service revolver, didn't wait for a single person, didnt stay in strikes that I knew from the beginning would last longer than 7 mins (because it was a long strike not because of the players), thats just the way it is and its what you should expect from strikes unless your playing with 2 other friends.

You might want to try a different activity if you would like to socialize and work more closely with others. I myself and many others enjoy working with a team in other activities like secret missions (zero hour, whisper), nightfalls, forges, raids, gambit and crucible, those are all team oriented and for the most part require team coordination for success. Your taking strikes too seriously, they are a very, very minor part of activities and require little skill to do, they are meant for quick fun imo.

I really don't understand this to be honest. Normal strikes need absolutely zero co-operation. I've once run strikes with the two most inept dudes I ever had the displeasure of playing with. I just gave up on rezing them, because what's the point if they die immediately, and basically cleared the whole thing solo. And trust me, having run 100s of strikes, nobody is gonna ♥♥♥♥♥ about someone else getting the most kills. I'd know because I tend to get top kills and not even once has anyone complained about it to me.

Still need help finding a way to play solo? There's a script out there that you can run to avoid being matchmade with others during pve stuff.
