Forsaken content and existing account?
I've played up to the Forsaken content and recently bought Forsaken (Before Shadowkeep was announced)
So, will people be able to access Forsaken content, or not with this xp?

Also, will I be able to access my chars?

Announcing Destiny 2 on Steam

On September 17, 2019, Destiny 2 on PC will be moving to Steam. To get ready for that move, we will be enabling you to move your current characters, gear, and progress from Blizzard’s Battle.net to Steam. We’ll have more news about how this will work later this summer.

For now, you can sign up for email updates so we can let you know when it’s time to take your next steps.

*Further details for Korea will be announced in the future via Bungie.net
F.A.Q.
More information coming soon!
Click above to sign up for updates.

Q: Which Destiny 2 purchases and entitlements transfer over from Battle.net to Steam?
A: The PC migration from Battle.net to Steam will include a one-time transfer of ALL ownership rights that a player already owns (Expansions, Silver, Account, Seasons, etc.).

Q: Can players pre-order Shadowkeep on Steam right now, and migrate their Battle.net account later?
A: Yes. Players may purchase Destiny 2: Shadowkeep from Steam’s product page now, and migrate their account at a later date.
Check bungie.net ffs! :steamfacepalm: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/PCMove

Doesn't mention if new people will have access to Forsaken though.
Since it wasn't listed in the release info.

If you already have it on BattleNet then you don't need to worry, you won't need to buy it again on Steam.

For new players or those who don't own Forsaken it should be available on Steam when Shadowkeep releases here (17th September). There are probably some contractual reasons why it is not available at the moment on Steam.

Regarding your existing characters, well yes they should be at least in my opinion.

Edit : Removed link.

I think you still need to buy it again. It sounds like you will be able to transfer progress between platforms, but need to buy expansions separately for each platform you play on. We'll see once the system is introduced, however.

Sadly no. You will have to buy Forsaken on Steam if you wish to access Last Wish again on that platform. However, any pieces of gear you have already unlocked will still transfer.

so if i have forsaken and etc on battlenet, what would be the point of pre-purchasing? would shadowkeep be 40$ or 30$ anyway whatever because at that point i'm just prepurchasing the whole game again .

The stuff besides Shadowkeep bundled with it will be free once Shadowkeep drops, so you are just paying for Shadowkeep. The base game and the year 1 expansions are the only thing bundled with it.

You will not. You will retain any gear you got from that dlc, but you will need to buy it again if you say, wanted to play any of the year 2 raids on pc.

Oh, and locations will no longer be tied to dlc. So it's basically just activities, strikes, any gear you didn't get already, and so forth from that dlc that you miss by not buying it again.
