Destiny 2 COMPLETE edition is 56% off - Should I?

So, I know all the year 1 content will be free, but if we want Forsaken we're going to have to buy it later right?

So my question is, even though year 1 content is free, and I can get it with the purchase of the upcoming expansion... Is 34.99 worth an investment now?

I mean, if I want Forsaken I'm going to have to pay a similar amount for it later anyway, right? So I probably wouldn't be spending any more either way?

Edit - If any of you on Steam wanna jump in to Destiny 2 now, the 56% sale is worth it, you won't have to spend more if you wanted to buy Forsaken AND Shadowkeep anyway, but you'l get to play now and migrate your progress later.

Thanks mate, I know.. Im just looking at it from a price perspective. If I wait for the free year 1 content, which is largely what is included in the complete edition... im still gonna have to pay the 35 for next expansion, then probably another 30 for Forsaken anways, right?

But at least this way I get to play now without having to spend more?

The price is permanent also iirc. It's all being bundle together for $40 and Shadowkeep is the new point of entry for premium content.

I'm not sure if expansion from console will transfer, bungie will be the only ones who could let us know
