Unwritten rules of LFG/bungie site fireteams.

This has been on my mind for a while so I thought I would just spread the word to help players using the third party apps or systems to make fireteams.

1. Make sure you know how to join parties- No one is going to wait 30 minutes for you while trying to explain how the in game console works for joining and inviting. You type- /join <The user id of the person you want to join> in the in game chat.

2. Join through slots- Don't be lazy and simply copy paste a users ID before even joining a slot for a fireteam. It doesn't take longer than 5 seconds. Join the slot then follow up with the join command.

3. Read the requirements of the fireteam leader- Don't just join blindly. If the fireteam leader posted that specific mods are required or a mic is required for doing specific activities, make sure you are equipped. The Fireteam descriptions are there for a reason.

4. Make your fireteam public- If you don't do this then people joining from the website or the destiny app won't be able to join your fireteam.

5. Post your user ID- when making a fireteam, try to include your user ID in the description. People using the app don't see the user ID as they would in the website. So posting your user ID can help people join faster.

Also heads up for newbies, KWTD means Know what to do, so if a fireteam asks that for a raid and you have never done the raid before its best not to join, but even worse to lie. I highly suggest KachisHD raid for dummies first before going through any raid since it can be painful to explain encounters to people.

Yeah the discord seems to be more convenient but this is just for the people who still join through the site or app. Perhaps they don't wanna use discord. Who knows.

I always have the problem where I post an LFG in a discord, ask some friends etc wait 10-15 minutes and no one has joined so I post an LFG on bungie, people instantly fill up the website fireteam but then a friend joins you..

I'm guessing it's impossible for Bungie to make a better matchmaking interface for Destiny 2. Let's hope Destiny 3 has at least a lobby for party purposes.
