About Exotic Catalyst
Do I need to have the exotic weapon in my inventory in order to get them or can I get them even if my exotic weapons are in my vault? Thanks in advance.

Nope, you don't need exotic weapons in your inventory or equipped to be able to get their catalysts to drop.

The only thing you need is to have the weapon registered in your collection. Well, that, and to do whatever activities that drop the catalysts.

You can keep it in your vault. I soemtimes get catalysts for weapons I can't even remember to own

Even if you dismantle your only copy of the weapon you'll still be able to get catalysts for it. As long as it's in your collections you're good.
