What is the most effective way to find small race cakes?

Chests on the Moon or Vex Offensive. I got it once from there, so take that for what it’s worth.

Yeah, Farming on the moon etc etc. I've done my research and know already that they drop from chests on moon, and from events. But another page says they can drop from nightmare hunts. What I want to know is what is the best way to find them?
