Things to do after completing campaigns etc?
other than those random events on planets and strikes/events, also repetitive side quests (90% are go here, clear here, kill the boss), what is there to do without dlc? I have the season pass but thats about it. I haven't found any raids unlocked to me yet, im power level 905/906.

i've found getting higher than lvl 904 gear impossible. the highest my weaps go is 901, the highest my armour goes is 904. any loot i find is usually 901 or 900. therefore i literally cannot get to light 950.

In just a few weeks I went from 750 to 950 easily. I was just doing activities normally and naturally went up there.

To reliably raise your power level, do challenges. Stuff like strikes, nightfalls, gambit, crucible, flashpoint, vex, nightmare, raids, dungeons,etc, most of them offer activities if you complete or complete them with specific requirements such as subclass element.

Prime Engrams also drop fairly often if you're just killing enemies normally, though obviously if you go for tougher enemies more then they will drop often. Nightfall Ordeal 920 is a good middle place to grind. It's not too tough and the rewards are decent.

900 is the soft lock, this is where gear won't drop at above your current PL, you can still increase in PL if your average number rises. You can only increase the drop rating by getting prime engrams and powerful rewards.

After reaching 950, only pinnacle weapons and gears will increase your PL. They drop at +2 with the new update.

You can farm the lvl 950 rifle from the halloween event, you will get 950 pretty quickly after that.

You can also play the first story campaign Red War and 2 DLC: Curse of Osiris and Warmind. You start them in the tower, talk to Amanda Holliday

Once finish with the campaign usually it would be the power level grind. The softcap of the game is 900 (what this mean is all world drop will only boost your power till 900 and wont go higher than your current power if you are 900 or above) Once reached 900 you will need to do the powerful which are most on a weekly cycle. This include completing X number of crucible/gambit/strikes and doing 8 bounties for zavala/shaxx/banshee44 at the tower. There a few more but generally speaking whenever you see a gold icon on your map it means it a powerful source.



Crucible or Gambit are also what you can consider the end game. These modes are the more pvp modes so if you enjoy one of these modes then i highly recommend going for it. You can chase weapon with better roll to be more suited to these said modes.


Raids are the end game of the pve aspect of the game. Since you do not own any DLC then you have 3 raid given to you. These are Leviathan, Eater of world and Spire of stars which are all located on nessus where you can launch it from orbit.


If you are hesitant on getting DLC from the game as you like it then here a brief of what you can get from them. Forsaken include 3 other raids and 1 dungeon with a few other activity. Shadowkeep is the current DLC that was just released and it currently contain 1 raid and 1 dungeon with a matchmade activity called vex offensive

Look at the bottom section of the map in Nessus. You should find both the Tribute hall and the Leviathan icon. It's in the Nessus Orbit section if you want to be specific.

Also, raids are 6 man events that depend on each member to do their jobs properly and communicate with each other. Many of them can lead to a complete wipe if even one member falls.

Question but my power level is 911. Do I need to buy the dlc to reach this power level of +960? Or there is no level capacity locked to free to players.

Power level is not capped anymore. Though, I don't remember how many pinnacle events are available for free players. Iron Banner is one of them though.

As for reaching 960, you can do that with the artifact but reaching a base 960 is something I am unsure of. It's already hard as it is even with all the events offered.

Well there are pinnacle rewards every weekly nightfall and this hallowen haunted forest. But I can never overpass 50k score with randoms nor clear 8-9 branches in the forest. My top score was 7.

You should have at least 3 raids unlocked.

On nessus at the bottom left will be a icon you can click on that you will take you to the raids. Doing them solo is not possible though
