Any machine guns for free players?

So far the only heavy machine guns I saw were either from annual pass content, limited time events or Forsaken DLC. Has it changed now?

You can get the Hammerhead from Black Armory.

You can also get the Thunderlord as an exotic weapon drop.

You can do the Black Armory and craft a Machine Gun. The Menagerie also drops one but I'm not sure if that is something a free player can do.

Black Armory is available for free now? Before going f2p it was paid content.

Black Armory and Menagerie should be free for everyone. Hammerhead is the introduction quest for The Forge and is a real neat Machine Gun to start out with. The Season Reward gives you a Machine Gun at 45 and should not take too long to get to.

Just keep in mind that the black armory is buggy. If you try to forge a weapon frame for the "rorge 10 frames" requirement and it doesn't count it... just do it again to make it count.

Yeah it's f2p, go talk to Ada, very far left of the tower, her quest will lead you to getting a machine gun.

in this case, one of the best legendary machinegun in the game (with good rolls)

Well other options if your willing to work for them are the pinnacle/ritual MG from vanguard and gambit. There's also one from this season pass

adding info: edgewise from vanguard, and 21% delirium from gambit, 21% delirium actually pretty good

Its the ballistic log frames that count, not the reports.

My friend didn't buy any DLCs but he was able to do Black Armory quests and get the machine gun and handcannon.

He only needed to get the Introduction to New Light done.

I did them before I bought either DLC. Can confirm you do not need DLC to get Hammerhead.
