Legendary Frames Forged 0/10

I have 2 stuck quests both asking me to forge 10 black armory legendary frames: A Giant's Might and Butterfly's grace.

I have gone to ADA-1 and did her bounties (daily and weekly), weapon frames and research weapons frames. I received weapons, but none of them moved the counter one bit.

I am obviously misunderstanding this "forging 1 legendary frames" things. Can someone please explain?

When you craft the 1st time per week a purple forge weapon

It should advance when forging the frames you buy with ballistic logs, but I have seen a lot of people saying it didn't count, which is what you're saying too. For some of those, repurchasing that same frame (now that it has a modulus report cost instead) and forging it, did make it count.

It seems to depend. I've only ever had it advance when I complete a forge startup. Its sitting at 2/10 and I've done a good amount of her quests to craft things.
I've been told that the higher your light level, the greater the odds of crafting a "Legendary Frame" are.

Except that none counted. Still at zero.

Will try ecky's method of trying the same frame twice.

You'd think that after so many years bungie would have fixed these obvious bugs. Sigh.

can confirm this because i forged 2 of her legendary weapons the quest is bugged
bungie fixed izanagagi quest but broke the black armory ones :D

Before it Jotunn was a random drop from forge. Which version is better?

Has to be ballistic logs so 2 a week, if for whatever reason it doesn't work (does happen with some frames like bow) then check to see if the frame is still gold and try it again, normally repeating these frames doesn't give progress it's only for farming for better rolls but for whatever reason this can work as it did for me last week.

*note too I had zero issues with machine gun and sniper, just bow gave me issues but doing what I said above resolved it.

you can only do two a week and they have to be the gold frames you buy from her using ballistic logs

The first and second of a different weapon frames will actually be "powerful frames" or something similar. these count toward the quest. It will take a few weekly resets to complete.

Confirmed. It is bugged but the 2nd try at the same frame seems to work.

Honestly. the random drop, cause people could farm for it in a day.

you can only farm it when you do a frame in bergusia, so its still alotta work
