How to turn off matchmaking?
Is there any way to turn off matchmaking in for example strikes?
I have had a couple now where the team just rushes the bossroom skipping all the fun inbetween, then i restart and there's another team doing the same. i get why people do it, loot and/or completion of strike. but this goes on the cost of the people whom want to experience things.

if not then i highly suggest the developers considering adding something like this.

You can't, you'll have to make a fire team of like minded individuals for that experience.

u must be talking about regular strike wich ppl do rush because its boring and not mandatory to kill all mobs to loot. go 920 or 950 where the amount of champs killed do matter ppl wont rush like tards there

950 . is without matchmaking . go in solo :) have fun

why would you take it slow and easy in a strike when it basically does nothing..
Only the last boss awards stuff, such as new ships, sparrows or exotics...

Sure, if you want your hands on some useless blue and purple gear, go ahead and clear every single enemy..

But other than that, no point other than wasting time..
Why do 1 strike in like 30 min to clear every single enemy when you can do 2-3 strikes in 30 min by rushing them..

It would be nice to have solo queue strikes for bounty specific kills and such, not only to experience it properly... but

also omg when everyone just feels like ur racing against them when needing bounty specific type of kills and instantly off everything in their path? oof

Does become more time consuming than its worth in that sense also.

Outside of queuing something like nightfall at higher rankings that disable matchmaking, don't know any other way than to just grin n bare it.

Some people play for the experience of like, shooting stuff in cool maps. Instead of some carrot on a stick progression.

I'd gladly do quests with no rewards in this game because it's fun. I'm at the 950+ levels and honestly don't see a compelling reason to grind loot to get marginal boosts.

An option to host private matches would help both types of players - those that want to just play the game and not worry about progression and those who want to power level, by separating them so there is no friction of interests.

If you’re struggling to compete with other players for kills then try to stay a little bit ahead of them.

Also dont forget that there are challenges to use abilities in strikes. If people are trying to farm that it can be annoying if met with rushers all the time

* yes I know of the cheese methods but a decent amount of players do not or are unwilling to do the workarounds.

Make a nightfall, use the challenge card, max the handicap and watch as people join and immediately leave when they see they do no damage. Then you can experience the strike all you like! Assuming you can even kill a weak enemy of course.

...but Nightfalls don't have matchmaking so no one is going to join, lol.

This is true! Didn't think that one through, even better! All the content for OP!.

That doesn't work. They are always on you and clip your kills needed for the bounty. Even matchmaking Nightfall: The Ordeal doesn't stop them. I've taken to running nightfalls solo to complete my bounties because of the nonsense. The only time I enter a matchmaking strike is to complete the weekly for powerful engram or stock up legendary shards from dismantled drops. Never able to complete bounties in a matchmaking strike.

Works for me. I pretty consistently have at least double anyone else's kills in strikes, lol.

If that is true, you are one of the players preventing others from completing bounties.

I have my own bounties to complete...
