What's the difference between Destiny 2 on BattleNet and Steam?
I've got Destiny 2 in Battlenet for free in Nov 2018 and I haven't played it since at all.
Doe it make sense to migrate my account?
I mean will I have any perquisite/advantage as owner of Destiny 2 on Battlenet compared to f2p version on steam if I will play it for the first time?

You will have to migrate it if you ever plan to play it. Destiny 2 will no longer be available through Battlenet come October 1.

Yea I know, but I will be able to start to play with account on steam, right?
So I'm asking: Is there difference between new account after Destiny 2 will be released on steam and old account on battlenet if I have no progress there?

If you got it (base game D2) free last year with not purchase any DLC and not playing it since and has no progress. I think you can safely ditch b.net and start it fresh on steam.

The point of migrating an account is to transfer progress. If you have no progress, dont worry about it!

One is free if you own COD Blackout. If you don't own it, you probably should not have a PC. Thanks.

are you genuinely asking what the difference is between an account you've never played on and a new account?

No difference if you don't have an progress there. If you asked a month ago I will suggest you to play solstice of heroes event, but too late for that now. Also, there is a community challenge now. But it may only reward emblem for you. Not much worth I think.

nothing, Battlenet learned what incompetent Team Bungie is and kicked them out of their business.

There is no veteran's bonus for having the game before it went F2P, no. And as others mentioned, the transfer is only for progress/content you unlocked/bought on Battlenet, if you only had the base version and didn't play a meaningful amount (or at all), then the transfer wouldn't really do anything. However, it might still be needed to connect to your bungie account, if you set that up before, not sure on all those specifics.
