WoW LFR is much easyer then the regular raids. It has less whipe mechaniccs and are essentially just dungeans... Not mechanical raids like D2's.
Its not hard to find sherpa for D2 raids at https://discord.gg/eBYkqq too.
People still get to see the true end game content that way.
There's already a ton of more ''casual'' activities in game...not every single activity needs to be accessible to every kind of player.
So what you are saying is that people who also bought the game for 35 bucks should enjoy and shut the ♥♥♥♥ up for having access to 2/3rd of the game? They paid the same price tho.
And nobody is touching your so beloved non-casual modes. If you want pinnacle gear or rare drops you can still opt in for non matchmaking content.
We ‘casuals’ need our own raid so people can dip their toes in the endgame content. If they like it they’ll venture into more difficult raids. It’s a win win situation actually.
It just wouldnt work bnecause of how mechanical D2 raids are.. This owuld of worked in d1 prior king's fall but D2 is totally different.
How can you say it would not work when it has not been attempted yet.... Just making a big assumption.
LFR in WoW, also known as "the sightseeing" difficulty, is definitely a thing. It turns raiding into a mindless slog vs. actually having to know the mechanics and execute.
You are literally asking for Bungie to dumb the game down for you if you're asking for a parallel. I hope they don't, and I say that as someone who has never even done a D2 raid yet.
Perhaps you dont remember the feature called guided games? That was essentially a beta for raid match making.
Mythic raids in WoW are a totally different animal than the LFR ones. Bungie should do the same here. Also let people queu up for specific parts of the raids so people would not need to do the whole thing again just because they wiped at the last boss resulting in everyone leaving on an earlier group.
People are smarter than you think you know. They can figure things out. This obsession with some ‘vets’ that raid are tooo difficult with randoms because of ‘muh’ mechanics is utter bollocks.
