WoW has matchmaking for 25 man raids
But the Bungie white knights on these forums tell us the raids in Destiny are so complicated that someone would need a science degree at a top university to understand them.

Also WoW raids are more complicated because of the heavy debuffs and requirements for healers, dps and tanks.

Also WoW has an INGAME raidfinder.

Yes the LFR loot isn’t the best one can get but it’s a great way to get newbies accustomed to raids. They will go SEE and LEARN the basic boss phases in preparation for normal raids.

So make a Garden of Salvation raid catered specific for matchmaking.

10 player cap, so when one or two randoms ♥♥♥♥ it up the rest can carry on without a wipe (more boss health to accommodate this )

Less or no modifiers

Make it gear checked for light lvl 920

Give everyone a separate color above their head

Let people fill in roles as raid leader

Seriously it is not that ♥♥♥♥ing hard to make the game more accessible yet keeping it challenging.

Here's the difference.

WoW LFR is much easyer then the regular raids. It has less whipe mechaniccs and are essentially just dungeans... Not mechanical raids like D2's.

Its not hard to find sherpa for D2 raids at https://discord.gg/eBYkqq too.

Only the elitist say that, but in that game, I actually dont mind LFR.

People still get to see the true end game content that way.

I just want them to allow six man fireteams in patrol zones. They can't even do that.
Maelstrom Oct 8, 2019 @ 1:58pm
Yeah, let's turn Raids into 10 players strikes with no challenge BUT matchmaking. Sounds awesome .... :l

There's already a ton of more ''casual'' activities in game...not every single activity needs to be accessible to every kind of player.

So what you are saying is that people who also bought the game for 35 bucks should enjoy and shut the ♥♥♥♥ up for having access to 2/3rd of the game? They paid the same price tho.

And nobody is touching your so beloved non-casual modes. If you want pinnacle gear or rare drops you can still opt in for non matchmaking content.

We ‘casuals’ need our own raid so people can dip their toes in the endgame content. If they like it they’ll venture into more difficult raids. It’s a win win situation actually.

Ehh, This isnt about money...

It just wouldnt work bnecause of how mechanical D2 raids are.. This owuld of worked in d1 prior king's fall but D2 is totally different.

Ofcourse WOW does. Matchmaking is a option and does not prevent people from playing it how they want.

The point of this thread is .. OP telling us he is able to see the difference between this game and WoW?

How can you say it would not work when it has not been attempted yet.... Just making a big assumption.

Another person to get banned. Just report and move on. Mods will take care of him quickly.

Oh ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, people are complaining about raids too?

LFR in WoW, also known as "the sightseeing" difficulty, is definitely a thing. It turns raiding into a mindless slog vs. actually having to know the mechanics and execute.

You are literally asking for Bungie to dumb the game down for you if you're asking for a parallel. I hope they don't, and I say that as someone who has never even done a D2 raid yet.

Because it would not, and it has been tested.

Perhaps you dont remember the feature called guided games? That was essentially a beta for raid match making.

Mythic raids in WoW are a totally different animal than the LFR ones. Bungie should do the same here. Also let people queu up for specific parts of the raids so people would not need to do the whole thing again just because they wiped at the last boss resulting in everyone leaving on an earlier group.

People are smarter than you think you know. They can figure things out. This obsession with some ‘vets’ that raid are tooo difficult with randoms because of ‘muh’ mechanics is utter bollocks.
