Can I transfer my Destiny 1 character on xbox one to PC?

I played Destiny 1 on xbox one a long time ago, but I didn't play Destiny 2 on xbox one, so they never transfered to Destiny 2. Can I still transfer said character to PC?

No you can not transfer D1 characters to PC. You would need to start new on PC.

The only way to get that character into destiny 2 on pc would be to buy destiny 2 for xbox, then buy destiny 2 for pc link the two accounts for crosssave. With that said there really is no reason to transfer the character anyway. You don't get to keep any weapons, experience or progress from the first game. Literally all you keep is the appearance of your character. The only reason to transfer your character is if you really like the way they look and you can't recreate them in the character customization screen in destiny 2

Reminder that the expansions won't transfer from plataform to plataform. If you buy an expansion for the xbox one you'll only be able to play its content on xbox one.

Keep in mind if you buy forsaken/shadowkeep on xbox they won't transfer over to steam.
If you can play on PC i wouldn't recommend playing on console, low fps, low FOV, analogue thumb aiming.

I did. The long way around. When Destiny 2 first came out you were able to import your Destiny 1 characters. Then when Destiny 2 moved to Blizzard I transferred them over to PC. And now Blizzard to Steam.

You can briefly play New Light on Xbox and then do the whole cross save deal with making your Xbox character the main character.
