This game is taking an insane amount of data and it should be optimized somehow
it has been revealed that installing Destiny 2 with all expansions including Shadowkeep would make the game take as much as 165GB, that is a lot, absolutely insane for a game with this amount of content.

For those telling me it's only around 80 GB, it already has been revealed from numerous sources that it would take up to 165 GB, you can literally search up on google "destiny 2 165gb" and you'll find absolute tons of sources.

It may not now, but it's been revealed that it would eventually take up to 165gb with all DLC

Don't just tell me it's around 80 GB, there's tons of sources on the internet that say it'll take up to 165 GB already.

Even GTA 5 isn't that much, it only takes up around 90 GB.

Edit: Let's just stop this topic, it's getting nowhere and it's starting to become a flame-war, which I do not want it to do. Forum mods may you lock this post, as this... event wasn't my fault, I was trying to help spread awareness about this issue, but now it's become a huge argument, I don't want to get banned due to this in any way, as I didn't mean for this to even happen.

This swells the current game from 96 GB to around 165 GB, which is a truly massive file no matter how you spin it.

Something is up with your game then, because mine is 81gb with all things installed.

Did you install it twice, or something?

Its rough on people with bad pc's but 165gb isnt even that bad for todays games. On average a game the size of Destiny is touching 100gb. Its just where the industry is going.

That was the download size, the game once unpacked is over 100gb.

Just looked in my steam folder, it's 81gb for the destiny file. It was 79 downloaded.

This is a misnomer. Its 105 not 165. And Terabyte drives are a dime a dozen, so unless you have a quota it Should not be a problem

Did you check the install folder? It's 81GB.

Yeah it could potentially get that high with updates. Not really any way to fix that unless you want them to start removing old content.

it's 81.2GB + 12GB ish with Shadowkeep.

The Pre-load of the game was 81.2 and then another 12GB ish on the launch day, but nowhere near 160gig.

You probably still have the game installed on battlenet.

When I bought it on b .net a while back it was under 100 gb. I still dont think it should be this large but it is what it is. I think with all expansions bundled it's that amount.
