that is the ultimate end game to these games, just run around doing public events.
Once the main story is done, you can move onto the free expansions in order - Curse of Osiris and Warmind.
It's a bit daunting for new players as the game is bloated and everything appears unlocked but the Red War story can guide you slowly through each place and it's content.
But if you want to start the beginning campaign and play all the way through talk to Amanda Holiday in the tower and start the Red War campaign. Thats the first campaign.
indeed, i do not understand what their logic behind it is? I am sorry for all these F2P players.
Honestly, if i was a F2P i'll judge by the gun mechanics, fighting, etc, if i like the game i'll just buy and start from scratch, if that is even an option?
How exactly? How would it make a difference if the number said 0 instead of 750? It's the same principle. You go from 750 to over 1000, the same way you'd go from 0-750. It's not any different. Unless seeing meaningless numbers going up is what you deem progression.
Do the main campaign. Go talk to Amanda Holliday in the Tower, she'll give you the main story. After you complete that, go and play some Crucible. Crucible is a great way to start getting a lot of loot pretty fast, and is a ton of fun. Then, if you have it, play through the Forsaken story. It's a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good story, with a lot of content, including tons and tons of exotics. Then, play through Shadowkeep, which introduces the moon; one of the best parts of this game. If you haven't already, go and do the "A Mysterious Disturbance" on the moon, which you can do even if you don't have Shadowkeep.
You can also do the Curse of Osiris and Warmind stories on top of that. Then, you can do Nightfall Strikes in the Vanguard, or the Leviathan Raid (or any raid for that matter.) You can do Nightfall's as many times as you want, and they change quite often, always introducing a new strike to do. You can play Gambit, which is a PVE/PVP Hybrid Gamemode. You can do the Black Armory. You can do literally everything and anything you want, there is tons of content. The game just doesn't hold your hand the entire way, so if you get lost, don't be afraid to google something.
Overall, from the sounds of it, there's a lot you're missing out on. But, I hope you'll take this advice and start having some fun :)
Go to the tower and speak to Amanda. She's in the hanger, you can see her on the map. You can access the story missions through her, which is probably a good place to get started.
