Can't finish the tutorial (New Light)
Hello, as the title says, I'm stuck in an endless loop of replaying the tutorial. Last night I kept on getting disconnected just before the jumpship cinematic, today I keep on getting disconnected just after it. It's about the fifth time so far that I've replayed the whole section. The error code is "cabbage" and my NAT is open. Anyone else experiencing the same issues? Any possible solutions? I'm about to give up on ever playing this game.

same here, nat is open. I had the same exact problem back when the game was on bnet. Long story short, if you a have a thomson/technicolor/sercomm modem a required port (3074? cant remember) is reserved for configuration stuff and cant'be used. I believe after 2 years there is still no fix for this.

I'm having same issue pretty much. Decided to make a new character and as soon the final cutscene happens at the jumpship the screen goes black and that's the end of it. If I restart the game I have to complete that same mission all over again, tried four times now, same story each time.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I would verify your game files. Go to the Destiny 2, right click, select properties, local file tab, and select verify game files.
Its just possible all the messing on the first day being pushed out of the queue might have corrupted something. May take a while to verify ;0(

cabbage and lettuce are connection errors, file integrity is not related

Tried verifying just after publishing this post, no files corrupted.

I do have a Thomson router, that would be the problem then. I'll try seeing if there is a way to change the port used by the game, maybe that will fix it.

sadly, you cant change it in the game. So if you cant free that port you have no way of fixing this. On some modems you can kill the service using port 3074 (it was some remote config stuff) but in other you cant and you have to buy a new one.

My provider has apparently locked telnet access to the router, so I guess it's a big F for me for the moment. Thank you for the infos though, I'll mark your other reply as the answer in hope that it might help someone else aswell i nthe future.
I'll also post this: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/231008613
It's the main topic on how to fix it.

i know its old post but i am also having this problem ... still no fix for this ? holy fck man
I dont know if its possible for you but i got instantly 2 easy solutions for you:
1. Just use your mobile Phone for the short amount of time and use the mobile Internet (Tethering is the keyword here)
2. When its only this very particular part in the game, play this part somewhere else. At a friends house for example. (But i think this problem will appear very often. When the Game wants to load or check something and wanna use the same way like now. MAYBE its really this one spot in the game and playing somewhere else is the 1 Million Dollar Answer :D :steamfacepalm: )

Nope, not possible, the game check very often and crashes. Also, i tried with mobile and it works but the game uses quite a bit of data, aroud 500mb per hour, so be careful. At launch i played the original story mode with a VPN and it works, but the free ones often have a data cap so, it works, but you can't play too many hours.

Honestly, I solved the issue only a few months ago, when my ISP offered me a good deal on fiber internet with a new router
