Stuck on the signing in screen.
I launch the game, it shows the add for shadowkeep, then I hit enter to sign in. It starts the little loading image for that, then freezes shortly after. The game is still running and the music is still playing, but never actually signs in. Does this have anything to do with my moving ownership of the game from Battlenet without ever actually having started playing the game on it? My copy was from a free to claim weekend.

Players with more than 300 friends on Steam may experience crashes at the title screen. Players encountering this issue should lower their friends list to less than 300 people. I hope bungie actually fixes this

That's not it. The screen does not crash, not go ahead.

Same here. Reinstalled 2 times and still can’t get past that screen. Also I have to force quit the game to exit the full screen

I have NO friends in steam and I have the same issue. I also never had a Battle.net account. I did do the Cross save thing just after installing the game on October 1st.

Just for the record: I did have a Bnet account. I DO NOT have so many Steam friends. I validated too. I had cross-save activated and tried disabling it. I also did the Bnet->Steam transfer.

Same problem here, can't get past "Signing In.".

I don't have any special characters in my name. I don't have more than 30 friends, let alone 300. I verified files. I restarted Steam and my PC. I started both Steam and the game as Administrator. I manually added the game to Firewall. I turned Firewall OFF. Nothing helps.

I play nearly a dozen online games and I don't have any connection issues in any of them. I was even able to play Destiny 2 on Battle.net just a few weeks ago.

well that kind of narrows it ... In my case I can't compare it to anything else ... the only other game I've played on this computer that is challenging for a system was LOTRO. This is the only game i've played with Steam. I don't know what to expect. I have verified the files and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Does anyone know if the Vid Card could have something to do with it? I'm running an nVidia GTX 1050ti ...

Anyone else encouraged by the Silence ?

Cross-play issue, try launching the game from a different steam account that you didn't do the migration.

Already tried it. No luck though.

I ran the eventlog and found this error happens around the same time that I have tried to play:

Warning: Invalid file version : D:\Program Files\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe
Error: SteamService: Invalid file signature or invalid version: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Steam\SteamService.dll.new

I check the time stamps and all the errors coincide with the times I tried to get on.
