Voice change but keeping english UI

how to change destiny 2 voices but keeping the interface to english

1: Go to steam highlight destiny 2 choose properties and change the language to [The language that you chose]

2: Once the voices are done downloading go to the steam folder where it is downloaded
go to packages and type in the search bar Audio en for the English Audio
and [the language you chose] just type in for example the japanese audio will be JPN make a
back up of both since once you switch back to english the downloaded voice files will erase.

3: in the [LTYC] folder backup. Change the [LTYC] at the end to EN

4: copy those voice files and overwrite the original english ones

5: go to back into the destiny 2 properties and change it back to english

6: your done

Edit: I did this for someone a while back on the bungie forums cause he wanted to know the callouts for endgame raids ETC whenever he would play with English people

UPD: tried to do as you discribed but english voice + russian UI. Aint worked. Russian client got 2 more _ru_ files and the client quit to desktop just right before Guardians page.
japan voice + english ui worked perfect.

Yeah this method is for the english UI but any voice language that you want someone in my comment section noticed what you have to do for other UIs

Nice, I had something like this in mind too since many other games work the same way. Hopefully other people who where inquiering about the voice change method could stumble on this too.

I've found the comment you mentioned, but looks like the issue is only with Russian client.
I've renamed ALL _ru_ files (audio, sandbox, global) but!
There's _ru_ file called w64_audio_02b0_ru_4.pkg (170 kb).
English client aint have this file. Only 0.pkg, 1.pkg, 2.pkg and 3.pkg. Not 4.pgk
Moreover, English client have file w64_audio_0202_en_4.pkg (164kb)
Russian client dont have such file. Only 1,2,3
All _jpn_ and _en_ file's names are match. Tried to rename them, delete and so on... Nothing changed :(

This doesn't seem to work for me. I followed the guide exactly, but D2 now crashes whenever it loads past the splash page.

Update: You need to copy and change the sandbox and globals files as well in order for this to work.

For the english UI if you were following my method you would've gotten those files automatically from the search bar
Which is why I say type in [LYC] instead of the audio en for english
