can I solo defeat Raid Leviathan?

I Have no friends in Destiny 2 and I'm at 765 Power level, can I solo defeat Raid Leviathan?

No. There’s mechanics in the raid that you need other players.

You can use the Bungie website or companion app and recruit people for your fireteam. You will just need to send friend requests.

Now, my understanding is that there seems to be crash errors happening if you have a massive friends list. So you might want to be careful about that.

Why is it in the quest line so early if it can't be solo'd. There's also no matchmaking when i joined it. What exactly is in raids? Is it the only end game content or is there a solo/matchmaking equivalent?

The other matchmaking "equivalent" to raids ls like strikes. But raids have puzzles that require teamwork and coordination, which is why there's no matchmaking so you have to organize a group. I've never played raids before though tbh, but I'd imagine that's why raids don't have matchmaking.

go on LFG sites, the LFG discord, or mobile app if u want to raid, LFG discord will probaly be ur best source tho, you could use it for other stuff besides raids too. And no matchmaking, is kinda a diffcult subject, its kinda hard to do raids with text chat imo, it gets stressful for me when i did a text only chat raid, i prefer raids in a VC so i can tell someone what to do fast.

The year 2 raids have some raid-specific exotics that are pretty fun and strong, but nobody will argue that they are 'must have'. Otherwise it's just a bunch of other weapons and armor that usually look pretty dope.

I can't think of a single weapon in Destiny 2 that veteran players consider a "must have" (there's no Ghjallahorn like in Destiny 1). Many of the best, in-meta weapons can be found in the Black Armor Forges, Menagerie, and Gambit Prime/Reckoning. The best thing about Exotic Weapons is that you don't have to farm them for specific rolls — you know exactly what you're getting out of them.

Because you'll never complete it with random people. The puzzles need constant communication and team work.

Because raid contains wipe out mechanism if u go public then u dont know how to play or you being afk then your team are doomed, you will keep dying and dying until you got to find new room

You can go in by yourself. But the mechanics are deliberately set up for group play so you won’t get very far...

in terms of raids, the only two that im aware you will get very far on your own with are "eater of worlds" (full clear) and last wish, which can give its gear and has one encounter you can farm solo
