Solution to 0 bytes Unpacking Problem
Hi there

Hope this works for you as it did for me

Copy your "depotcache" folder to another location. It will reach a file like in my case "1085661_depotcache_42.csd" that Windows cant move due to not finding the source file or drive

Delete your one like this and leave the .csm file.It will redownload the file and you wont have to redownload the whole game again

I just tested it and I'm unpacking again

EDIT: Close Steam while doing this I forgot to add that step

Looks like this will fix it for me. Suddenly I've got disk activity again
which other location do I copy my depotcache in? i have no clue on where to move it.

it doesn't matter, copy it anywhere.
All you are doing is moving it so that windows will tell you which file it will error on
once it does, remember that name and go back to the original folder and delete that file. You don't need to keep the copy that you make, you can delete those files after as well.

alright, i've moved it to my download folder. No news yet, do i have to open steam once more?
Not sure at all, i copy it and nothing happens. It simply downloads with no errors.
I have installed destiny 2 on my HDD, instead of SSD, and my friend told he had problems downloading it on HDD and redownloaded it on SSD, completely fine.

So when you moved it you didn't get any errors at all? When I did it, I had windows complain that one file was bad, I deleted that, and now my game is installing again. If it didn't happen for you you might have had a different issue
Yeah, i might have a completely different issue. Sadly, i don't have enough space to download Destiny 2 on my SSD, so i'll see what i can do about it.

You can get a cheep memory stick and save it on to that

Alternatively you can just delete everything you've downloaded for destiny 2 and start over
Well, yeah. I just uninstall right?

So my Destiny 2 folder is empty? But I know I downloaded all 80gb of it. And on steam it says 100% complete?

Bump to my question. I've been stuck at "unpacking" at 0 bytes and a blank time remaining for almost 7 hours. Yeah.

Ye your destiny 2 folder will be empty. In your steam library folder there should be a depotcache folder
