Destiny 2

VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES ive tried 10 time and nothing
it gives me this error:
"Problem reading game content. Please close Destiny 2, right click on Destiny 2 in the Steam app to run 'VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...' in 'Properties'. Then restart Destiny 2 to try again"
I've done this process about 5 times, also looking at firewalls, Running as Admin from game files. But keeps giving me the same message. My internet is pretty slow so I don't really want to resort to re-downloading right away.
Please help to find fix.

I'm having the same issue. Reinstalled twice, verified more than 10. No luck.

I don't really have much to add here, but on BNet this would also happen to me, the difference is though that there it would happen like once a week.

Here on Steam it's happening every 5 minutes.

I have been dealing with this since 10am. Verifying does not work at all in our case. I did everything I could do - uninstalling/reinstalling to different drives. Turning off anti-virus/firewall also any in-game overlay. I purged the entire Destiny 2 files I could find in my PC and I even reinstaled STEAM. All of that since 10am still giving me the same problem. So, there's a lot of us dealing with this crap. It suck! SOme of us paid for Shadowkeep only to get stuck in a problem that right now seems no solution.

One thing that MAY be the culprit: do we all have the game installed on an SSD? I have mine on it.

I did installed it on all 3 separate SSDs not at the same time. But yeah still the problem persists

Try launching game in admin and check your firewall/antivirus , solved the issue for me.

Boys, I think i found a solution, it worked for me.

1. Go to your Destiny 2 File location. (In steam, right click destiny 2, go to Properties, then Local Files, and click Browse Local files. This should open your Destiny 2 directory.

2. Now highlight ALL files EXCEPT for "Packages", and move them onto your desktop for now. So your destiny 2 file should only have the packages currently.

3. Now go back to steam and right click destiny 2, go to Properties, then Local Files, and click Verify Integrity of Game Files.

It should download the missing files you removed and fix the game for you like it did for me.

GOOD LUCK!

try validating twice if it doesnt work on first try i got it on second try

I have done this several times even on fresh install. Still, it didn't work for me, sadly.

After sort of getting in, then crashing and validating, now its redownloading 20GB of files. Guess I'm not playing tonight.
